Additional Information

The project is a wonderful demonstration of the ability to enhance a property through refurbishment and extension. The existing site housed a modest bungalow in need of modernisation. The design carefully maintained primary structural elements whilst extending to the side and front elevations followed by the creation of a new first floor above. The property has a generous amount of living accommodation which is individually purposed through the introduction of sliding doors, bi-folding doors, roof lights and inset raised terraces such that the garden and views can be enjoyed in different ways throughout the property. This variety of space, albeit in a largely open plan layout, ensures the living accommodation inspires occupants to utilise all spaces for a variety of activities or during different times of day and weather conditions.

The project was led by Mark Watson whilst working at Concept Eight Architects Ltd.
